Sweet Potato & Rosemary Organic Protein Bread

This is a great recipe by friend of WHEY AHEAD®, George Lane Gilbert! It makes a yummy 865g loaf using a bread machine.


  • 150ml warm filtered water
  • 300g organic sweet potato mashed (1 large whole, no skin) 
  • 375g organic oat flour 
  • 200g organic white bread flour
  • 1 scoop WHEY AHEAD Naked/Unflavoured organic whey protein
  • 1 tbs organic honey
  • 1 tbs cold pressed organic rapeseed oil 
  • 1.25 tsp organic dried yeast
  • 1.25 tsp organic sea salt
  • 1/2 tbs dried rosemary


  • Make a basic dough using all the ingredients excluding the sweet potato & rosemary
  • Leave to rest in a bowl for 30-40 mins
  • While bread is resting, chop up the sweet potato, boil until soft and mash
  • Once it's finished resting; poke a hole in the dough and stuff with the sweet potato 
  • Continue kneading whilst adding the dried rosemary
  • Place on a floured baking tray in the oven at 180c baking for 40 mins or until bread sounds hollow!
  • Enjoy with some hot soup:)
